A U.S. coffee company being built in public

From Brazilian farms to American cups.

We believe specialty coffee should come with a clearer view of the people and decisions behind it. We are developing Springborn to connect Brazilian origin relationships with a direct customer experience in the United States.

Explore the model, follow the milestones and help shape the experience through the founding community.

Brazilian Specialty Coffee Built for the United States Transparent Farm-to-Cup Journey Community-First Development

The Opportunity

A clearer connection between origin and customer.

Our starting belief is simple: a bag of coffee can tell customers more about the people, process and decisions behind their cup.

We are building a business around making that connection useful: choosing a coffee, understanding its character and knowing what to expect from the next release.

That is the opportunity we intend to test with customers. The founding community can help us learn which information and experiences matter most.

Our Proposed Model

Selected coffee. A direct relationship. Reasons to return.

These are development priorities, not channels already operating.

01

Direct Coffee Releases

Develop selected Brazilian coffees for customers in the United States, with clear origin information and a straightforward buying experience.

02

Repeat Purchases

Explore recurring deliveries and subscriptions after validating product consistency, customer demand and fulfillment.

03

Selective Partnerships

Evaluate wholesale and corporate opportunities as the product range and operating capacity develop.

04

Customer Feedback

Use community conversations to inform product development and understand what makes customers want to return.

Launch timing, pricing and channel availability have not been announced. Plans may change as we test demand and operating requirements.

The Operating Plan

Build the operation behind the experience.

The operating plan connects sourcing, quality evaluation, U.S. preparation and the customer experience. Each step needs to work before we scale.

  1. 01

    Brazilian Farms

Develop relationships with producers and origins capable of delivering distinctive specialty coffees.

  2. 02

    Processing

Document the decisions that influence each coffee, from harvest and processing to preparation.

  3. 03

    Quality Control

Evaluate consistency, physical characteristics and sensory quality before the coffee reaches the customer.

  4. 04

    United States

Build the structure required to bring selected Brazilian coffees into the American market.

  5. 05

    Customers & Community

Share the coffee together with the people, places and work that shaped it.

Why Brazil

One country. Many origins, stories and expressions of coffee.

Brazilian coffee is shaped by differences in region, altitude, variety, climate, harvest and processing.

Our work begins by understanding those differences and selecting coffees for more than availability alone. We want to show how each origin contributes to the experience in the cup—and give the people behind it a visible place in the story.

Why the United States

Build around the customer we intend to serve.

Our focus is U.S. coffee drinkers who want to know more about what they buy. We intend to pair Brazilian sourcing relationships with a customer experience developed for that market.

Before a first release, we need to validate the product, import arrangements, roasting, packaging, delivery and customer support. Demand and operating costs will guide the pace of development.

Our model must account for coffee, freight, import costs, roasting, packaging, fulfillment and customer acquisition. We will share pricing and economics when the underlying inputs are documented.

Our Origin Advantage

Build relationships that carry through to the cup.

The advantage we aim to build combines producer relationships, documented quality decisions and direct feedback from customers. A story alone is not enough; it needs to be supported by the coffee and the experience.

We plan to document the producer, region, processing and sensory character of selected lots. Specific farms, results and partnerships will be presented with supporting information as they are ready to publish.
